Culinary delights with a view

Your palate is always ready to indulge. And we’re happy to oblige.
Here in Assisi, the flavours of unspoilt Umbria are reflected in the dishes of our Ristorante Recanto. Thanks to our large windows that treat you to stunning views of the surrounding countryside, you’ll feel like you’re immersed in the vast expanse of olive groves, vineyards, and rolling hills around Valle di Assisi.
Because you’re at the heart of everything here.

Tasting sessions and cooking lessons

Before arriving at our restaurant, our products are selected and grown directly by us on our farm. We love promoting sustainability and the genuine taste of zero-kilometre natural ingredients. So, between your outing and a good sports session in the great outdoors, you can sip a glass of fine wine accompanied by local charcuterie and cheeses. Our wine cellar offers wine and culinary tours that also make perfect team-building activities.

If you have small children, on the other hand, you can turn them into mini masterchefs thanks to our cooking lessons: They’ll have a whale of a time with their hands deep in dough! And so will you, when you – with a sprinkle of flour here and a pinch of salt there – learn to perfectly replicate our pasta “alla norcina”.

A chocolate hunt

Umbria is famous for its chocolate, so why not make the most of it?
The “Casa del Cioccolato Perugina” in Perugia is just a 20-minute drive away from our hotel. It’s a real must for chocolate fans who can’t wait to discover more about how Italy’s most-loved chocolate is created. The tour starts at the Historic Museum and takes you to the heart of the factory, with a few sweet breaks along the way to savour the irresistible flavour of milk chocolate, sink your teeth into a fine piece of dark chocolate, or let a soft praline melt in your mouth.
This sensory journey can be rounded off with a course at the “Scuola del Cioccolato”, where Perugina will show you just how much passion, skill, and expertise goes into making their chocolate.

And if you want to immerse yourself fully in the world of chocolate, don’t miss Eurochocolate, the international chocolate festival that has been held just 3 kilometres away from our estate since 2021. For more information about the event and tickets, visit the festival’s website: https://www.eurochocolate.com/.
